Chin-Chin Gutierrez Madre Na

Chin-Chin Gutierrez has followed in the footsteps of her late mom who was an ex-nun. Chin-Chin Gutierrez is now a madre at the Carmelite convent in Tagaytay. She has taken the name Sister Lourdes. She has also been spotted singing the “Magnificat during a Sunday mass. Her official website also confirms the talented actress' new religious calling.

The actress is a graduate of Miriam College (formerly Maryknoll) with a cum laude in mass communication.

Chin-Chin hit a rough patch a few years back when her house in Loyola Heights burned down and her mother died months after due to complications of smoke inhalation.

She has been branded as unconventional due to her quirks like talking to animals and doing some bit of interpretative dancing while the national anthem is being played. But that's all part of her charm, Chin chin has always been the 'New-Agey' type. She's a fitness forerunner before being veganism and yoga was all the rage in Manila.

Chin Chin Gutierrez has always been known as a champion of the Pinoy arts supporting grassroots heritage projects and independent filmmakers. She also has various environmental advocacies which includes renewable energy and eco waste management.

Now Chinchin is a NUN, a madre. Well, good for her. Whatever makes her happy. Yah go Sister Lourdes!
