Try niyo ang Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) ng CHED.

Everyone deserves a chance, di ba?

What is the ETEEAP program?
The Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) is an assessment and accreditation program in which prior work experience and other non-traditional means of education are awarded corresponding academic credits. Run by the Commission on Higher Education, in partnership with colleges and universities all across the country, the academic credits awarded through the program can be used to work towards a corresponding degree in the applicant's preferred field.

So kung pursigido ka, mag ka diploma while keeping your day job, the ETEEAP is a good option. But if you don't want to go through the program, you can always quit work and be a full-time student at the university of your choice. Kung ayaw mo ng university degree, you can study and get a technical certificate from TESDA if ang line of work mo ay technical or labor intensive (Welding, HVAC, mechanical/automotive).

Sino ba ang pinakasikat na graduate ng ETEEAP? Si Boy Abunda op kors. Si Shawie naman sa UP Open University

Requirements for the ETEEAP program
Open to all Filipino high school graduates or with higher educational attainment, who are at least 22 years old and have been employed for at least five years in the field or industry which s/he is applying for an equivalency. (Bakit 5 years? To complete your assessment CHED will contact your employer or check out your work place)

Applicants must be able to provide the following:

  • NSO authenticated birth certificate,
  • Service or employment record
  • Most recent academic record, other certifications of his/her competency in the field applied for equivalency such as certificates of training and workshops completed
  • An accomplished ETEEAP application form.

    1. Di ko alam ang weight or effect ng ETEEAP pagdating sa assesment for migration. I don't know how many points will be given to you. But it might help your chances rather than just being an undergraduate. The next best thing is to take a vocational degree or technical degree dahil mas prioritized ang skill set ng mga labor intensive jobs - welding, HVAC, machinery, caregiving. Better ask those who have tried for Canada migration :) Goodluck kabayan!

    2. Thanks for the prompt reply. Upon reading your reply I've searched some topics and discussions regarding ETEEAP and migration. So far I only saw a few discussions at pinoyau.info in which a user have said that he knew someone who graduated from this program who got 10 points for his educational background (recognized Australian equivalent degree related to the nominated skill) though he didn't elaborated if the guy he knew also already had a vocational degree/certificate prior to getting a bachelor's degree through ETEEAP. There is also one user in that forum who said that it's possible to get 15 points (equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Oz) if the applicant is licensed, the TS on that thread is a graduate of BS ECE, I also read a blog where one commented that he got a nursing degree through ETEEAP and been able to sit for the NCLEX exam and is now an RN in the USA.

I am now preparing to enroll by April next year for a BS EE at MSEUF, as of now I already have a 2 years vocational certificate and also passed the RME licensure exam. I'll give you updates on my journey in this program. Thanks for the info, I hope I can be of help to you in sharing info about this program to our kababayans.
