Where to Buy Narra Tree Tea in the Philippines?

Tea lovers who are into a holistic lifestyle will truly embrace the healing properties of the Philippine Narra tree (Pterocarpus indicus, Willd).

Research has shown that narra has the ability to lower blood sugar level, alleviate the inflammation of those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and wash away urinary stones by passing through with the patient’s urine.

You may tell grandma to stop foraging for leaves in her garden for tea and poultice. Narra is now available in tea and capsule form only through Naturteq Direct, Inc. Natursentials Rosewood (Narra Bark and Wood Food Supplement). Unlike other health supplements which contain artificial colors, sugar, lactose, high sodium content, gluten and caffeine- Natursentials Rosewood has none of these and retains the pure essence of Narra bark.

The Narra tree is conserved and protected by Philippine law, it is a crime to cut one of these organic giants. With sustainability in mind, Naturteq’s narra trees are nurtured in a 6-acre organic farm in Rizal, free from pesticides and away from pollution. Only the fresh shoots, bark and branches of the Narra tree are harvested.

If you are looking for an alternative treatment for an auto-immune disorder, you may try the anti-oxidant effect of the Narra Bark and livened up your tea time.

Where to find a Diatomaceous Earth supplier in the Philippines?

Okay so what on earth is Diatomaceous Earth?

Plain and simple, its grounded dead diatoms. If you remember your biology class in high school Diatoms belong to the Kingdom Protista, and these small silica-based lifeforms can be found in bodies of water even in mud puddles.

Photo by National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, University of Southampton

Now for some organic talk, there's a lot of Eco-friendly and Go-Green campaigns lately in the media that's finally putting useful and organic products like Diatomaceous Earth in the spotlight. They can be a substitute for harmful pesticides. They are less toxic and there's even what you call food-grade Diatomaceous Earth that can be use as animal and poultry feed. Diatomaceous Earth is an ingredient used in making toothpaste, cigars, aquarium tank filters and insect repellents.

In the Philippines, Deltaromeo trading is a pioneer of organic solutions against environmental pollutants. They offer food-grade Diatomaceous Earth and organic disinfectants for industrial facilities, farms, slaughterhouses and waste water treatment.

Where to Learn Taxidermy in the Philippines?

If you just recently lost your pet and still want his presence around the house then stuffing Bantay might just be the thing for you. But first you have to learn how to get beneath the skin.

Mammals for taxidermy are best preserved smiling :p

For people who have a certain fondness for dead things, preserving and curating for taxonomic reasons (or some freaky fetish), you must learn how to make your great find - keepsake, trophy, pet, specimen - last as long as you do. Why not head off to the National Museum of the Philippines for a week long session of taxidermy?

Edward Hart's Prize Fight. A famous exhibit of
Theatrical Taxidermy- mounted animals depicting human lives.

Taxidermy is not just for Norman bates. But for every normal kate, juan and harry who love animals. Taxidermy is the skillful art of preparing, stuffing, and mounting the skins of dead animals with surgical precision.

I would highly recommend the workshop for biology students and those who want to reminisce their days in comparative anatomy lab. The techniques and epidermal stylings of taxidermy is possible on all vertebrate species of animals including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. In the field of museology, this is quite an important skill particularly if your manning the Formaldehyde stash in the zoology section.

This rare Taxidermy session in the Philippines goes on for about one week and the training will include lectures, demonstrations and workshops, plus a wild visit inside the prized specimen collections of the National Museum’s Zoology Division, which includes interaction with taxidermy experts (veteran skinners who have move onto larger mammals).

For all ye know, your loving dog Bantay would make a great heirloom for your grand kids.

For info on the Philippine National Museum Taxidermy class, email or call Mel Lagartija and Jes Arella of the Museum Education Division at telefax no. 5270278 mlagartija@yahoo.com, museum.education.nm@gmail.com.

Pinoys take Pride! If you don't want to skin anything - dead or alive - please do support our National Museum. Go plan a visit! It may not be as snazzy as the Smithsonian, but dang we got a pretty decent collection in the tropics, not to mention the most passionate museum curators.

Where to Hire Security Protection Services in the Philippines?

Where to Hire a Bodyguard or Security Guard in Manila?
Going around Manila for business transactions, high profile meetings and lugging around huge amounts of cash would be a safety risk for some and a cause for some level of protection.

Philippine security agencies usually offer the following services:

• Home & Building Security Services or Perimeter Protection
Security agencies assign their trained and licensed security guards for your business office, residence, factories round the clock (24 hrs). These are armed guards that work in shifts for your security needs. Security guards are equipped with their duly licensed firearm either a caliber .38 revolver or .12 gauge shotgun and a utility belt that contains their flash light, nightstick, two-way radio, handcuffs and small first-aid pouch.

• Security Detail and Close Protection
You may also ask for a special arrangement such as bodyguards properly train to handle large crowds and close protection whenever you are out in public areas. Perfect for high profile people such as celebrities, politicians, diplomats, dignitaries, businessmen, VIPs, visiting families or for someone being stalked; it is understandable for you to acquire such protection. You may request for visibly armed escorts or plain-clothes security escorts.

Other Services provided by Philippine Security and Protection Agencies:
Whole Year Round (365 days) Protection, Daily & Nightly Inspection of Premises, Weekly Assestment and Monthly Client Coordination, K9 services for Bomb Sniffing and Tracking, Intelligence and Surveillance work, Detectives and Investigation Services.

How much does security service or a bodyguard cost in Manila?
You may call Security agencies for an estimate or bid based on the number of days or hours that you need protection and any of your security concerns (possible kidnapping threats, stalking threats, safety concerns, need for executive VIP style protection). Ask what is included in the cost and what you need to shoulder as an employer - transport, meals and lodgings. You may request for a full package rate or per day rate.
