John Marie Lizares: The Bag Owner at the Bacolod Silay Airport Accident

It's payback time for the grandma who got tripped by that airport bag at the Bacolod-Silay Airport.

As the identity of the bag owner is finally tracked down, the granny who suffered injuries because of the incident, should hit the guy back where it hurts - his wallet!

 
Turns out the insensitive airline passenger is John Marie Lizares, is a local Bacolod hotelier and beachfront property President of the Palmas del Mar Resort?

Oh really? Is this on record? If so, for someone who's in the tourism and hospitality industry, it wouldn't have cost him a cent at all if he apologized in the first place or helped the old woman get up.

Both parties according to news reports have lawyered up, with Lizares' lawyers aiming for an out of court settlement.

According to GMA News, Lizares, who owned the bag Hofileña tripped over last year, had reportedly offered P120,000 as financial assistance last week but Hofileña's family rejected it.
However, the lawyer of the Hofileña family, said the amount could not make up for Mrs. Hofileña's medical expenses.

Bacolod Silay Airport Accident

An elderly woman trips over a bag left on the floor by another passenger. Accidents do happen. The man should have at least apologized or at that instant helped the lady. The CCTV shows a really hard faceplant, the old lady couldn't get up on her own.


 What happened at the 2:10 mark of the video: The airport video shows the man taking his bags off the x-ray machine after entering the pre-departure area and placing them in the pathway. The woman ahead of him did not see the bags and tripped, landing flat on her face.



The indifference however of the other passenger was unbelievable. Dude she tripped over your bag! you could have at least said 'Sorry!'

Airport staff and other passengers rushed to help the lady while the man calmly put his shoes back on, picked up his bags and walked away without assisting or even speaking to the woman.

 Deadma lang si koya and went on his way!

 The family is calling on the public to identify the man and make him accountable for the April 22, 2014 incident.

 Please help our family find justice about this accident that happened on April 2014 at Bacolod-Silay Airport. Until now, we haven't heard anything from either the airport or Cebu Pacific. Not only did my mom suffered serious injuries but also both of my parents went thru emotional trauma because of what happened. None of these two parties as well offered help even just a single cent for my mom's hospitalization and rehabilitation. Most importantly, they didn't bother to look for the man who did this mistake to my mom. If anyone of you knew this man or his whereabouts, please let us know immediately.
