Calumpit Church Becomes a Giant Cake

Renovation gone awry? Or this just reflects the parishioners' tacky taste? What ever happened to any sense of historical and architectural preservation? Doesn't the NCCA or the Catholic church have any guidelines on
 this?

400 years ka ng mahigit pero batang bata ka na ngayon. Kesong sad :( Save Calumpit Church.  Nawa huwag tayong husgahan ng kasaysayan sa ating panahon. 

Holy hostia na hawflakes, Batman! The Simbahan ng Calumpit in crazy peach and delicious frosting. Who's been huffing on the paint? Was this a case of whoever pays the renovation bills gets dibbs on choosing the colors? 





The Simbahan ng Calumpit is over 400 years old. See those gorgeous adobe stone walls? No need to cover them up in paint, they look awesome the way they are.

Can the damage be undone? :( Well, let's say goodbye to another beautiful historical landmark.

Milk Tea Poisoning in 3 Minutes: Kills 2 in Sampaloc, Manila

Two people died at the ErgoCha Milk Tea shop in Bustillos St. Sampaloc, Manila after drinking milk tea. Apparently, the victims Suzaine Dagohoy, and her boyfriend Arnold Aydalla were the first customers for the day, ordering the first batch of milk tea that turned out to be poisonous.

 

After tasting their teas, the couple complained to the owner about the strange taste of the beverage, the owner Wiliam Abrigo then also tasted the tea prepared. Within minutes, both the customers and store owner fainted. All three were rushed to the Ospital ng Sampaloc, but only Aydalla survived. Abrigo and Dagohoy were dead on arrival.

According to Dr. Benjamin Yson, the head of the city health department of Manila that thhose who suffered from poor sanitation or poor food preparation usually experienced diarrhea, vomiting, chills and an upset stomac. These circumstances were absent in milk tea case. It happened too fast, too quick and too fatal.

The Manila Police District has a sample of the milk tea drink, which they sent to the Food and Drug Administration for testing. Dagohoy and Abrigo's bodies are also undergoing autopsy at the PNP Crime Laboratory.



The incident brings to mind a milk tea poisoning incident in Ilo-Ilo City.

No MRT, No LRT Operations: Walang MRT LRT Bukas

The MRT and LRT lines will only operate until Holy Wednesday April 1, 2015 with the last trip at 8:30 p.m.

Walang MRT-LRT sa Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Black Saturday and Easter Sunday.

Adding more to the riding public's inconvenience this Holy Week, the Metro Rail Transit 3 will suspend trips to give way to system maintenance.

All Meralco business payment centers are OPEN until 5pm on April 1. Starting April 2 to April 4, meralco payment centers are closed.

Just paid my Meralco bill today at Meralco Makati in Kamagong street near the Makati Fire Station.
They are open until 5pm. The line is long, but bearable. And yes, they cut off your power even if you lapse one single payment. Namumutol sila kahit wala pa isang buwan full circle, basta missed payment, may disconnection notice agad. 15 days lang ang palugit or less.
